On Wednesday this week (22nd April) we celebrate Earth Day. A day where we might, perhaps, gift ourselves, just for a few moments, with some space to pause. It can be helpul for a few moments to step aside from our busy lives, and all the painful things we see happening in our world right now, to pause and breathe a little more slowly and a little more deeply.

Take a few moments where you choose to switch your gaze and consciously take in the wonder of being alive on this stunningly beautiful planet. This remarkable blue/green planet that is our home, and the precious home of the wider community of life, delicately held in the mysterious vastness of space.

Right now, in the northern hemisphere at least, Life is bursting through in myriad forms in the natural world around us, verdant and generative. And that same Life pulses through each of us.

Maybe take some time this week to notice:

- where do you feel or sense this verdant, generative Life seeking to break through and emerge in your own life (perhaps in fresh and new ways)?

- where do you notice this happening in the world around you (even in small ways)?

- how might you become a 'nurturer' of that life, both in yourself and in the wider world around you?
