The Tolbooth, Glasgow An Authentic Account of the Imprisonment and Martyrdom of Father John Ogilvie 1877

The Tolbooth, Glasgow from An Authentic Account of the Imprisonment and Martyrdom of Father John Ogilvie (1877). The new Tolbooth (or town hall) was built in 1624-5, a decade after Ogilvie's death, and incorporated the old prison where Ogilvie was held and tortured. The Tolbooth Tower (right) is the only part of the building still standing today.
